To celebrate my relocation to the Hinterland region I’m offering 20% off* my regular prices and rates until the end of October.
All I ask in return is for a brief testimonial that I can use on my website and socials ☺

In The Field Electrical is a small, local, family-owned and operated business.
Being the owner-operator means that when you contact me, I’m the one that answers the phone and replies to your emails. When you book in a job, it will be me that shows up, not a subcontractor or an apprentice. It also means that the buck stops with me, so it’s a good thing that I pride myself on quality workmanship and prioritise old-school customer service.
In The Field may be a small business, but I’m big on value, professionalism and reliability.
Electrical work can sometimes be costly, and no-one likes surprises, so I do my utmost to ensure that the quote supplied is accurate …which is why I ask for as much information as you can give me when you fill out the quote form or we chat over the phone.

Much is still unknown about the true effects of non-native Electromagnetic Radiation and Radio Frequencies (EMR/RF) on the human body. What we do know though, is that there are many people that report ill-effects and health complications when living in or near high level EMR/RF areas or homes. We have the tools and equipment to conduct measurement and mapping procedures to determine behaviour-specific suitability zones as well as consultation on measures to minimise the EMR/RF in your home. We can also advise on what actions can be taken to reduce harmful frequencies in the home and suggest alterations or products that can reduce or deflect RF. We can also install data points/ethernet points to ‘hardwire’ internet to reduce WIFI exposure.
I have several years experience providing high quality electrical maintenance and shift-cover services to the industrial sector spanning the manufacturing and food processing, mining and energy, metal and sugar refining industries. I am well practiced with common/uncommon process arrangements and equipment and can service a multitude of maintenance requirements.
I have experience working in hazardous areas and installing and inspecting equipment in hazardous areas. I’ve also worked on installing, replacing and commissioning Schneider and Allen Bradley VSDs. With additional experience in process and motor control, and instrumentation, I can provide high quality solutions safely and with attention to detail.

When you can see mould, it means that for quite a while the conditions have been just right for the mould to multiply enough to make it visible to us. It’s almost always high moisture levels that allow the mould to get out of control. So, reduce the moisture ➔ reduce the mould.
It’s the mould you don’t know is there that can have a greater effect long term. As well as a visual inspection I also offer air sampling and surface sampling to help locate the source of a mould infestation if the source is unknown. Knowing which moulds are present, their concentration in relation to each other, and to the outside environment, can help us confirm the origin of the growth.
In The Field has advanced air- and surface-sampling testing equipment, as well as moisture meters and thermal cameras to help pinpoint any leaks or sources of internal moisture.

Do you or someone you know need help with essential electrical maintenance or repairs but cannot afford the cost of a tradesperson?
Each month I put aside time to carry out essential services work free of charge for disadvantaged members of our community – elderly residents unable to afford the cost of a tradesperson or those experiencing financial hardship. Things are so out-of-control expensive in our world right now, and many people suffer in silence because they just can’t afford basic repairs.
The service is limited to smaller jobs that can be completed in a few hours and is only for essential maintenance and repairs, particularly anything that could jeopardise someone’s safety or wellbeing.
If you or someone you know needs help, please email us at hello@inthefield.au with your name, contact phone or email, and details of the work that is required and I’ll be in touch.

We mostly service the Sunshine Coast Hinterland region including Maleny, Conondale, Montville, Mapleton, Palmwoods, Kenilworth and The Glass House Mountains. If you’re outside of these general areas please just give me a call.
No, I do not charge a call out fee. The way I work is that I will do my utmost to provide you with a detailed, accurate quote prior to taking on your job. The only time that a quoted amount could change is if the information you have provided to me for the quote is incorrect, if additional work is requested while on site, or if there is unforeseen circumstances, such as hidden faulty wiring in the home or building, that needs to be addressed. If this does happen, I will discuss this with you in full prior to doing any additional, unquoted work.
We can accept payment via bankcard with contactless payment on site. Please note that payment via this method will incur a 1.6% surcharge, which is the amount I am charged for using a contactless service.
I much prefer payment via direct debit or cash. I’m making every effort to opt-out of the bank fees that drive up the cost of providing my services, which would then make my rates more expensive for you. Don’t worry, you will still receive a copy of your invoice/receipt if paying with direct debit or cash.
